Gaddafi trends on Twitter – will he join previous trender .. Mubarak?
Monday, February 21st, 2011Gaddafi is trending on Twitter. As Gadafi. Anyway, the last dictator who trended on Twitter was forced out of office within 48 hours.
Isn’t that fascinating? While the latest dictator trending commentary is being driven by external twits - Libyans inside that North African enclave of heinous misdeads appear to want the semi-nomadic lunatic Gadafi OUT.

Some say he has sought asylum in Venezuela. However, that’s presumed to be an almost sarcastic suggestion – he may as well go seek asylum in Italy through his other chommie, Silvio Berlusconi. There are an aweful lot of Italians commenting on the Gadafi/Gaddafi tweet at the moment..
Egypt’s’ Mubarak trended on Twitter and was gone within 2 days of hitting that social networking milestone.
There’s a distinct possibility that Libya could experience a real live civil war. Watch out for Benghazi today. Reports from intelligence sources suggest that the western AND eastern regions of Libya are exploding today.
Gaddafi is going to do what dictators’ do. He’s going to try and have the opponents killed off. He’s already murdered 200 protestors – but that’s just enraged them further.
